Sorry it's been a while since our last update.
I'll try and bring you all up to speed.
After his last round of chemo Dad experienced a bad case of insomnia that lasted 5 nights. This, along with the general ill feeling brought on by chemo left him feeling very drained. He also had a fever one night and went to the hospital to make sure that everything was ok, and it appears that it was just a freak incident, but when you're on chemo all fevers need to be investigated.
Because of the insomnia, and how awful he felt the last time, chemo was delayed by one week, and they'll be giving him a lower dose this time. By the time you all read this he will probably have been given his chemo treatment today. Please pray that his side affects will be lessened this time, and that his sleep will be restful and peaceful.
To those of you still reading these updates and praying regularly for dad, thank you SO MUCH!!! ~Joy

Posted June 8th - sorry a little behind!
Hi Everyone, Just a quick update, dad's first day of chemo went well. So far he hasn't appeared to have any major side affects. Please continue to pray for healing in his body. The resection of the colon is an interesting healing process.
Also pray for sleep is greatly appreciated!!

Urgent Prayer Request
Hello all...
so yeah it's been a long time but Dad is starting chemo treatments tomorrow and he's not doing well. He's not sleeping and I think that he is really worried about it... but he's not saying that. Mom's worried too. They're both really struggling with this second treatment. I really don't know whatelse to say. Please pray for for strength, courage, peace, and good rest for dad and mom. He's on three different medication for nausea and sleeping pills right now and dad doesn't take pills!
Mom's been helping dad with cutting the grass and outdoor stuff... but she's stressed too!
Dad was to see the doctor and there was some concern that there was some swelling close to where the re-connect was and that's concerning everyone (everyone but one of the doctors)!
So yeah, this is a little scattered but yeah PLEASE PRAY!!!
