some not so exciting news...
But God is in control and He's got different timing... as has been displayed today. Dad was too week to take his last treatment so things are being post-poned 'til next week. He is going to see a new doctor and get another CAT scan. This is a little discouraging for all of us especially dad and mom. They were really looking forward to being done. So next week WEdnesday Dad has appointments all morning and then he should have his treatment at 1430 (2:30pm) so yeah please pray and if you think about it give hem a call or stop by as there spirits are a little low!
thanks again!

It's the LAST DAY!!! Praise GOD! Yes, today is Dad's last chemo treatment. It has certainly been a long 10 months, but the day has come. I know that Dad and Mom are both looking forward to not visiting the hospital everyother week, and dad is most certainly looking forward to not feeling so ill. God has been so good to our family over the last year. Without him, our family and friends this past year would have been so much more difficult than it has been. We know that this path is not fully finished yet, but it appears that the truly difficult times are drawing to a close. I'd like to thank everyone who has faithfully read these updates, prayed for us, and stayed connected, either through phone or visits. You all mean so much to all of us, and we thank God for you all daily. Thank you for being "Jesus with skin on" to our family. We love and appreciate you all more than you know! God Bless, Joy

The end is in sight...
Hi guys...
So i think that there was a misunderstanding... I thought mom said that Joy was going to update y'all on how things were going but I see I was mistaken.
Last week as a bit of a hard week as dad had a treatment and his blood was going all wonky... all to do with the thickness of his blood. He was to the doctor and he said the he should go to emergancy the next morning (because all the clinics were closed for Thanksgiving weekend) to get something to fix the problem. The numbers don't mean much to me but maybe some of you understand. So on Friday the number was something like 4.6 -- that is as high as they like it to go. Then by the time he got to the hospital it was up to 6.2 and then eventually it went at high as 9. So they gave him something to lower the number (aka. thicken his blood). On Monday he was feeling quite bad (tired too) so he went and had it checked again and and it was down to 1.2... too think now. So yeah the doctors have been playing with his blood some... you can pray that they get it right!!! Dad wasn't feeling well enough to do a thanksgiving dinner so they just stayed in! They did appreciate the invite out though!!! I'm sure that they will take you up on the offer again sometime soon.
So after last week's chemo trreatment dad has one more to go... it's not this week but next... and then its over. It's been a long haul. Thanks for sticking this out with us... it is greatly appreciated!!! I'll keep you posted as i know more. I think mom said that the last treatment is next Wednesday!
Thanks for your interest and prayers....
